I love, love, love it when I have a little change of pace and get to photograph people who don’t require lollipops or bubbles to keep their attention! This gorgeous woman has spent the past few years in law school part time while working full time…can you even imagine that insane schedule? I am exhausted just thinking about it! I was so glad to be able to capture these portraits of her before she heads back home to Boston and sadly, leaving so many people who love and adore her in North Carolina. You are such an amazing and beautiful woman, T, and I can’t wait to hear about this exciting new chapter of this amazing journey you are on!

When my Ella was born, Brody was not quite 2 years old. I have always felt like, in general, I am glad with their age difference. Okay, well maybe after the first 9 months, I decided that eventually I would probably be generally glad with their age difference 
. I do however really really really rethink that when I get to go into sessions with toddlers and newborns where the the toddler is 3 and a half, even 4 years older than their new sibling…oh man those are the ones that get my ovaries tingling (is that TMI?)! Brody really had no idea what the heck was going on when we brought Ella home and it just melts my heart to see this big brother with so much joy over his baby brother.
All P wanted to do was hold and kiss and hug sweet little L. And who could blame him?
I had to be sure to snap a few of the proud big brother. Those baby blues are amazing! This is one of Brody’s very best buds–they have known each other their whole little lives, and I will seriously regret it if I don’t get Brody and P together and in front of my lens next month when we are in North Carolina again for sessions (are you paying attention, W&B? Next month, our boys, photo shoot, stat!).

It was so nice to meet and hold and snuggle L. I cannot wait to see you all in June when I am in town a bit longer!

Earlier in the week, you saw sweet little miss and her parents for her 1 year shoot and at the very end we broke out the seamless paper and the cupcake, complete with pink frosting! Yum!
At first, she seemed concerned that there was actually something behind the seamless paper that we were hiding from her 
.
Then when she saw the cupcake, she knew she was right where she wanted to be!
